Manu Bahuguna, an ex-Air Force pilot founded PhotoIndia.com in 1999. He is a self taught photographer who has been pursuing photography since the mid 70s. He considers the late Raghubir Singh (1942–1999) and S Paul (elder brother of Raghu Rai) as his Gurus. Manu has assisted Raghubir on a number of his trips to the Himalayas and picked up the nuances watching these legendary photographers at work. Over the years, he has worked on different formats starting from now extinct Kodachrome 25 to the latest digital SLRs. He has travelled extensively across the country photographing people and places. His pictures have been published in a number of Indian and international publications. At PhotoIndia.com, he takes special interest in training professional photographers to undertake major photography assignments. PhotoIndia's clients are leading international companies like Accenture & Oracle and publications like the Forbes, the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and most leading Indian publications. The company has its studio in Bangalore which is used for the production of advertisements for companies of all shapes and sizes. PhotoIndia.com also puts together books for publishers on a turnkey basis. Manu is a quintessential outdoorsmen, passionate about nature and photography, he has been a +2 goal polo player and holds an Open Water Diver (SCUBA) license. He is also a qualified mountaineer and has done the advanced mountaineering course from the Nehru institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi. During his Air Force days, he has also lead mountaineering expeditions to the Himalayas. |

Kumaran is an award winning photographer who has won countless accolades over the years for his work. This easy-going photographer's fashion portfolio is an enviable one with clients like Fastrack, Tanishq, Flying Machine, Levi's and Lee to name a few. Kumaran has wins at Clio Innovative Media Awards (2004) and Asian Outdoor Advertising Awards (Singapore 2007) under his belt and to his credit, his work has been nominated at Cannes, D & AD Global Awards and London International Awards. Kumaran's impressive array of work combined with his witty sense of humour makes an interesting recipe of information, anecdotes and tips and tricks. Sabir Ahmed |
Sabir is an engineer turned entrepreneur with a passion for crafting ideas, his interest in photography was inspired by his father's hobby three decades ago. It remained on the back burner to be pursued sometime in the future until it proved to be a balm in city's stressful life and an outlet for creative pursuits. With an eye for capturing nature, architecture and people in their moods. Sabir shoots film and digital on either 35mm or medium format equipment. He enjoys Black & White photography immensely and has fine tuned his B&W workflow to bring out the best in each image. Sabir has in-house processing, printing and scanning facilities for B&W film. During the past 6 years, Sabir has conducted several workshops in B&W photography and exhibited his work in public forums, exhibitions and contests. His photographs were also published in international magazines such as Travel+Leisure. Nishant Ratnakar |
A love for documenting life through his lens made Nishant leave an illustrious IT career to pursue photography. As a photojournalist, he has the reputation of having captured memorable stories on his camera and has been published in the Times Group and Daily News and Analysis (DNA). After being selected as one of the 30 young Asian Photographers for a free workshop at the Angkor Photo Festival in Cambodia in 2008, he went on to become the Chief Photographer at DNA. Nishant pursued a diploma in Photojournalism from ACFJ (Asian College For Journalism) at Philippines in 2010 and has recently published a book "Fistful of Dreams". As a visual story-teller, Nishant Ratnakar brings not just years of experience but also a patient understanding of human nature.
