Please send us images with unique file names as we find a number of photographers send us images in different folders like food, travel, editorial etc. and in each folder there is an image which is 01.jpg! This creates major confusion. Moreover, in the second submission, the file names often get repeated. Please ensure that the file names do not get repeated at your end.
Please ensure that your images have a unique name, a good way to name your images is by giving them a name that starts with your initials (SK for Sandeep Kumar followed by a name that has been given by your digital camera, say _MG_0978) You can rename the image as MS _MG_0978
- Please use characters from A to Z and 0 – 9 for naming files
- Do not use any special characters like - . ! @# $ % etc and do not leave space between the characters
- Please do not exceed 18 characters for giving file names, as we prefix your images with our codes before uploading
Examples of correct naming convention:
- Your image now could be as follows : sunsetatportblair0 or mother_child or kjhsoiksnm9876890
- If you can give us the location of the picture in the file name that would help – like delhi_connaught_pl
- We prefix a unique code to your file name and therefore there are no chances of your pictures getting mixed with some one else’s.
Examples of incorrect file name:
- delhi_connaught_place (the total no of characters exceeds 18
- corbett-national park (character – not permitted and space between national and park not permitted
- anilkumar(9)6785e$7 (character ( $ not permitted)
